Rick Santorum to Speak at CPAC Florida Event in September

Former U.S. Sen. Rick Santorum of Pennsylvania will join fellow Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney as a speaker at CPAC FL in September. The American Conservative Union (ACU) is taking its Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) on the road to hit key 2012 battlegrounds and will be holding its event in Orlando to coincide with the Republican Party of Floridas (RPOF) Presidency 5 straw poll.

Unlike Romney, who will not take part in the straw poll, Santorum has left the door open to taking part in the event. Santorum, looking to be the president from the Keystone Stone since James Buchanan won the White House in 1856, will speak on Friday, Sept. 23.

In the United States Senate, Rick Santorum was an unrelenting champion of traditional values, a strong national defense and free-market principles. From entitlement reform to legislation protecting the sanctity of life, he has never shied away from the tough fights, regardless of consequences, said ACU Chairman Al Cardenas who also chaired the RPOF.

We look forward to Senator Santorum joining us in Florida this fall as we continue growing the conservative grass-roots movement through new state and local initiatives.
