Rick Santorum Leads Mitt Romney by 4 Percent in Ohio Poll
On Monday, Suffolk University released a poll looking at the Ohio Republican presidential primary that shows that Rick Santorum leads Mitt Romney in the Buckeye State which holds its primary on Tuesday. Other polls released on Monday have found a tight race and even a solid lead for Romney.
Santorum takes 37 percent in the poll of likely primary voters followed by Romney with 33 percent, Newt Gingrich with 16 percent, Ron Paul with 8 percent and 6 percent remain undecided.
The magic number in Ohio tomorrow night is 39, said David Paleologos, director of the Suffolk University Political Research Center. The candidate who gets to 39 percent will win the state in what could be a rather late night of election returns. Its now down to which candidate gets his supporters out to the polls.
The poll of 500 likely Ohio Republican primary voters was taken from March 3-4 and had a margin of error of +/- 4.4 percent.
