Republicans Outscore Bipolar Dems on Political Knowledge, Again
The Pew Research Center, not exactly a bastion of conservative thought, has determined, once again, that Republicans are more knowledgeable than Democrats about American politics.
Republicans scored higher on a range of questions about the parties and government, largely because the GOP coalition has few poorly educated people, Pew said.
Democrats, by contrast, are made up of a "bipolar coalition," which combines well-credentialed post-graduate progressives who score well in quizzes with a much larger number of poorly educated supporters, who score badly, Pew found.
Pews new study echoes the results of many other reports and studies that show GOP supporters are more empathetic and more open to criticism than Democrats.
