Rep. Tom Grady Bowing Out

In an email sent to incoming House Speaker Dean Cannon, Rep. Tom Grady, R-Naples, announced he would not be running for re-election. Grady was elected in 2008 and was considered by many to be a rising star in the GOP.

"To be clear," Grady said in the email, "I'm graduating in November from the Florida House, not retiring from public service."

Grady says that in addition to practicing law and representing defrauded investors, he will also serve as the chairman of Prosperity Florida, an organization that describes itself as promoting good governance and free-market solutions.
