Rep. Dan Webster Assails 'Planned Agenda' of Town Hall Hecklers
U.S. Rep. Daniel Webster brushed off the raucous heckling he encountered Tuesday at his Orlando town hall meeting.
There is nothing wrong with a clash in debate.A healthy dialogue benefits both sides of any issue, but it requires mutual respect so that both sides can say their piece," Webster said in a statement Wednesday.
"When public forums become disrespectful, the losers are the people who show up to meetings with real questions and concerns, and who have solutions to tackle Washingtons spending problem. Im certainly not going to let obstructionists with a planned disruptive agenda silence my constituents."
U.S. Rep. Allen West, R-Plantation, encountered similar catcalls at a town hall meeting in Fort Lauderdale Tuesday evening. Was it merely coincidence?
