Rep. Alan Williams Tells Rick Scott to 'Come Home'

Rep. Alan Williams, D-Tallahassee, is urging Gov. Rick Scott to come back to Tallahassee after protesters have flooded the governor's office, pledging they'll only leave after the governor properly addresses their concerns about Florida's "Stand Your Ground" laws and expressing their general discontent over George Zimmerman's acquittal.

"Governor, come home. Come home and talk to these students, these citizens of the state of Florida who are in your lobby. Come home and speak with them," said Williams.

Gov. Scott has been traveling over the last few days, making stops in Tampa and Pensacola. He did, however, sleep in the governor's mansion Tuesday evening.

"We have one goal and that is to speak to Governor Scott and have a special session convene," Dream Defender Melanie Andrade told WCTV. "So if he says no, we're going to have to stay here. I mean, we're not going to leave."

The Dream Defenders have been actively protesting SYG, and are calling for a special legislative session to repeal the law.Capitol police have allowed the protesters to stay overnight, but they are not sure whether they will allow them to spend the weekend protesting inside the Capitol.
