Rass Poll: American Voters Still Angry with Federal Government
A new poll shows voter discontent with the federal government remains high even after a turnover in leadership in the U.S. House and the midterm elections.
In the Rasmussen survey, 69 percent of likely voters say they remain at least somewhat angry with the current policies of the federal government, an uptick from last summers 65 percent. Of that group, 38 percent describe themselves as very angry.
Both parties are still feeling the heat. More than half of those surveyed (57 percent) agree that "neither Republican nor Democratic leaders have a good understanding of what is needed today."
Nearly nine-of-10 conservative voters report they are still upset with the policies of the federal government, while 54 percent of moderates agree. Liberals broke evenly on the topic.
The survey of 1,000 likely voters was conducted March 26-27 with a margin of error of +/- 3.
