Rasmussen Poll: 65% of Likely Voters Want to Dump Congress, Start Again
It probably comes as no shock to anybody, but Rasmussen Reports makes it official:
Americans think Congress is doing a lousy job and they're out there screaming, We want a do-over!
The latest Rasmussen national telephone survey, released Thursday, finds that 65 percent of likely American voters say if they had a chance on Election Day, they would vote to get rid of the whole kit and kaboodle in Congress -- every member -- and start again.
Some 20 percent would choose to keep Congress as it is (who are those people?). That leaves 15 percent who aren't sure.
As you can imagine, the folks they call "the Political Class" -- that's the public-political-trough feeders -- well, they disagree big-time. Says Rasmussen, "Sixty-four percent of the Political Class would vote instead to keep them (members of Congress) all in. ... Among all voters, just 3 percent have a favorable opinion of both parties, while 18 percent view both unfavorably. Seventy-nine percent offer mixed reviews."
Any wonder why it's so chilly this cycle for incumbents?
