Rand Paul Confirms He's Considering Presidential Bid

Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., confirmed Monday night on FOX News' Sean Hannity that he's considering a presidential bid in 2016.

I have been thinking about it, Paul said.

On Monday, former Alaska governor and vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin unofficially endorsed Paul on FOX News, saying she was on "Team Rand." Paul clarified that he won't be making an official decision for another year, but said he has discussed the possibility of running with those close to him.

I mean, weve been considering it, he said. Im talking to my wife and kids about it.

Paul also criticized Obamacare, saying he would stand up in the House to defund it, though the Senate probably wont.

The ultimate compromise is we take it away from Obamas agenda and back toward ours, which may not be defunding it, he said. "I would sue. We did sue over recess appointments. When it goes to the Supreme Court, I think theyre going to once again say he usurped power thats not his. We should do the same thing here.
