Rand Paul and Ron Paul Double Down Against Yellen and the Fed
Over the weekend, a group chaired by former U.S. Rep. Ron Paul, R-Texas, doubled down on its opposition to President Barack Obamas nomination of Janet Yellen to head the Federal Reserve. The Campaign for Liberty continued its efforts to promote U.S. Sen. Rand Paul's, R-Ky., opposition to the Yeller nomination as well as his bill to audit the Fed.
The Washington establishment is outraged, John Tate, the president of the Campaign for Liberty, wrote supporters on Saturday. They're not happy about Senator Rand Paul's plans to use Janet Yellen's nomination as the new Fed chair to push for a vote on 'Audit the Fed.'
When asked if Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid would allow a vote, a top Democrat aide stated, I kind of doubt it ... this is going to be the fight of our lives, Tate added before vowing to turn up the grassroots pressure.
