Prominent Conservative Backs Adam Hasner for Senate in 2012

Former state House Majority Leader Adam Hasner picked up the backing of another prominent national conservative on Tuesday when Colin Hanna, the president of right-of-center policy group Let Freedom Ring, backed his bid for the Republican nomination to take on Democratic U.S. Sen. Bill Nelson in 2012.

"Adam Hasner is far and away the best candidate for Floridians looking for a leader with a consistent record of supporting constitutional government, economic freedom and traditional values," said Hanna in a statement. "America is at a critical crossroads, and if we're going to make the changes we need in Washington to turn our country around, we're going to need proven, limited-government champions like Adam Hasner leading the effort."

"I'm honored by Colin Hanna's support of our campaign," said Hasner. "Colin has been a pivotal part of a movement of everyday Americans who are working to change Washington by electing a new generation of reform-minded leaders."

Hasner has also been backed by other nationally prominent conservatives, including Ken Blackwell, Monica Crowley, Erick Erickson and Mark Levin.
