President Obama's Latest Slip of the Tongue: Jews and Janitors

Urging supporters to "take off their bedroom slippers and put on their marching shoes," President Barack Obama told his most loyal backers at the Congressional Black Caucus "to stop complaining, stop crying."

The president's blunt remarks over the weekend came amid a gaffe in which he declared:

"If asking a billionaire to pay the same tax rate as a Jew, uh, as a janitor makes me a warrior for the working class, I wear that with a badge of honor. I have no problem with that."

Apparently it was not the president's night. But, as the Los Angeles Times noted, such rhetorical errors have been cropping up lately.

Last week, he hailed America's building of "the Intercontinental Railroad."
