Public Policy Polling released a poll Monday looking at Tuesdays primary races.
A poll of 304 Republicans taken on Aug. 21 and 22 with a margin of error of +/- 5.6 percent had Rick Scott ahead of Bill McCollum in the battle for the Republican gubernatorial nomination. The poll had Scott with 47 percent and McCollum at 40 percent.
The poll found U.S. Rep. Kendrick Meek with a huge lead over Jeff Greene in the battle for the Democratic nomination for the U.S. Senate election in November -- Meek claimed 51 percent while Greene, hampered by viewers seeing him as unfavorable, pulled 27 percent. The poll of 324 Democrats had a margin of error of +/- 5.4 percent and was taken on Aug. 21 and 22.
