Possible 2012 GOP Hopeful Rick Santorum Headed to Naples
Former Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty, who is speaking to Republicans in the Legislature on Wednesday night, is not the only possible Republican presidential candidate hitting the Sunshine State this week. Former U.S. Sen. Rick Santorum of Pennsylvania will be heading to Naples on Friday as part of the Ave Maria University School of Laws series of speakers.Santorum has made his Catholic faith one of the cornerstones of his possible presidential campaign, disagreeing with JFKs famous speech in Houston back in 1960 when the future president argued that his religious values would not shape his actions in public life. Santorum, a staunch supporter of traditional marriage and opponent of abortion, has been one of the most active of the potential Republican candidates, making numerous appearances in key states such as Iowa, New Hampshire and South Carolina.
