Politics Still in Play for Future of Jets' Backup QB Tim Tebow

Gov. Rick Scott and Agriculture Commissioner Adam Putnam may not have anything to worry about, but Florida politicians a few more years down the road may have a 6-foot 3-inch, 236-pound object rumbling in their way.

Famed University of Florida alumnus Tim Tebow may not be getting much playing time right now with the New York Jets, but he still remains one of the most followed players.

In an ESPN New York interview posted Wednesday, Tebow discusses his future, along with a number of other topics. The one that should stand out for Florida politicians?

With your popularity, especially in Florida, would you ever consider running for political office after you're done with football?

A: "I haven't ruled it out. Whatever avenue I feel like I can make a difference in, I'd love to do. I haven't ruled out anything like that. It won't be anytime soon in my future, but it'll be something I'll at least look at and consider one day.
