Politico Reports that David Rivera Could Face Primary Challenge in 2012

According to a piece run by Politico on Tuesday, Florida Republican U.S. Rep. David Rivera continues to face pressure from the GOP. As questions continue to arise regarding Riveras ethics, Politico is reporting that a few possible primary challengers are thinking about 2012. From the article:

Republicans have begun mentioning potential GOP challengers to Rivera, with several pointing to Miami-based political consultant Carlos Curbelo, state Rep. J.C. Planas and state Sens. Miguel Diaz de la Portilla and Anitere Flores, according to Republican sources.

Atop the list of potential primary challengers, say those Republicans, is Flores, who won election to the state Senate last year and who at 34, is the first Republican Latina in the state to have served in both houses of the state Legislature in more than two decades.
