Police Chiefs Back Marco Rubio for U.S. Senate

On Thursday morning, the Chiefs for Quality Law Enforcement Committee of Continuous Existence endorsed former House Speaker Marco Rubio, the Republican candidate in the race for the U.S. Senate election.

Marco Rubio is the only candidate in this race that we can trust to go to Washington and put forth a positive agenda that will make Florida safer, said Amy Mercer, who is the executive director of the organization. As speaker, Marco proposed innovative ideas to safeguard Floridians and we know that as our next United States senator, he understands the need to take on new challenges that threaten our way of life. More importantly, we know that he will stand beside the men and women of the law enforcement community all across our state.

It is an honor to have the support of Floridas police chiefs, said Rubio. Few other organizations can claim to have protected our states citizens more than our police chiefs, and I am so proud that they believe in our campaign that promises to challenge the policies coming out of Washington.
