Pickup Truck Crashes into U.S. Rep. Tom Rooney’s Stuart Office

The driver of a pickup truck was charged with careless driving after crashing into U.S. Rep. Tom Rooneys waterfront office in downtown Stuart on Saturday afternoon.

Stuart Police reported that Norman Vickery, who wasnt injured, accidentally stepped on the accelerator instead of the brake pedal, before driving fully into the converted home, according to WPBF TV25.

The office of the Tequesta Republican wasn't occupied until the pickup truck entered the building.
