Patrick Murphy Welcomes David Jolly to Senate Race

On Monday, U.S. Rep. David Jolly, R-Fla., will enter the race to replace U.S. Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., in 2016. Jolly changed out his campaign site on Monday noting he was running for the Senate.

On the Democratic side, U.S. Rep. Patrick Murphy, D-Fla., welcomed Jolly into the race.

“Floridians want a senator who will fight to strengthen the middle class, protect Social Security and Medicare, and stand up for a woman’s right to choose,” Murphy said on Monday. “These are the issues that I’m passionate about, and I will continue to focus on in my campaign for the U.S. Senate.   I welcome Congressman Jolly to this conversation.”
