Patrick Murphy Makes His Case for Same-Sex Marriage

U.S. Rep. Patrick Murphy, D-Fla., now running for the U.S. Senate in 2016, made the case for same-sex marriage on Monday. 

“I believe in equal rights for all Americans, regardless of race, creed, gender, religion, or sexual orientation," Murphy insisted on Monday. “Love is love, regardless of gender. All families deserve to have equal representation under the law. Those are just three reasons why I support marriage equality. 

“The Supreme Court is currently deliberating on four cases that could decide the fate of marriage equality across the country,” Murphy added. “Their decision is expected this month."

Murphy is encouraging supporters to share their reasons why they support same-sex marriage through his campaign organization.
