The Past Week in Florida Gubernatorial Appointments
Gov. Rick Scott made appointments to the following boards in the past week:
Statewide Drug Policy Advisory Council; District Board of Trustees, Broward College; Boating Advisory Council; Construction Industry Licensing Board; Florida Film and Entertainment Advisory Council; Board of Dentistry; Monroe County Housing Authority; Jobs for Floridians with Disabilities; and Florida Transportation Commission.

Governor Rick Scott announced four reappointments and one appointment to the Statewide Drug Policy Advisory Council.
Mark P. Fontaine, 61, of Tallahassee, is the executive director of the Florida Alcohol and Drug Abuse Association. He is reappointed for a term beginning Nov. 4, 2011, and ending Sept. 6, 2015.
Nancy Hamilton, 62, of Tarpon Springs, is the chief executive officer of Operation PAR Inc. She is reappointed for a term beginning Nov. 4, 2011, and ending Sept. 6, 2013.
Bobby Roberts, 55, of Tallahassee, is a media technician at Florida State University. He is reappointed for a term beginning Nov. 4, 2011, and ending Sept. 6, 2013.
Kimberly K. Spence, 35, of Panama City, is the chief executive officer of Keeton Corrections Inc. She is reappointed for a term beginning Nov. 4, 2011, and ending Sept. 6, 2015.
Dr. Lora L. Brown, 46, of St. Petersburg, is a pain management specialist at Coastal Orthopedic and Sports Medicine. She succeeds Kevin B. Lewis and is appointed for a term beginning Nov. 4, 2011, and ending Sept. 6, 2015.

Governor Rick Scott announced the appointment of Pamela L. Stephany to the District Board of Trustees, Broward College.
Stephany, 55, of Fort Lauderdale, is a retired banker and global financial services adviser. Previously, she was deputy head of marketing for Credit Suisse Private Advisors from 2004 to 2005 and senior vice president and deputy manager for Bank Julius Baer from 1996 to 2003. From 1995 to 1996, Stephany was director of Latin American markets for Dow Jones Telerate and was vice president and senior manager of the Bank of Boston Corp. from 1983 to 1994. She served on the board of directors of the Florida Prepaid College Plans from 2008 to 2010. Stephany received her bachelors degree from Georgetown University. She succeeds Paul Tanner and is appointed for a term beginning Nov. 3, 2011, and ending May 31, 2015. The appointment is subject to confirmation by the Florida Senate.

Governor Rick Scott announced the appointment of Captain Stephen D. Danzig to the Boating Advisory Council.
Danzig, 63, of Ponte Vedra Beach, is an accredited marine surveyor and motor vessel captain with Atlantic Marine Surveys LLC. He succeeds George C. Bryant and is appointed for a term beginning Nov. 3, 2011, and ending Sept. 30, 2014.

Governor Rick Scott announced the reappointment of Robert W. Moody Jr. to the Construction Industry Licensing Board.
Moody, 52, of Valrico, is the chief operating officer at URETEK Holdings Inc. He is reappointed for a term beginning Nov. 3, 2011, and ending Oct. 31, 2015. The appointment is subject to confirmation by the Florida Senate.

Governor Rick Scott announced the appointment of Michael A. Ossi to the Florida Film and Entertainment Advisory Council.
Ossi, 51, of Jacksonville, is president and founding partner of Ossi, Najem and Rosario PA. His clients have included John Travolta, the New York Yankees and the William Morris Endeavor Entertainment Agency. Ossi received a bachelors degree from the University of North Florida and a law degree from Stetson College of Law. He succeeds Kathryn C. Waters and is appointed for a term beginning Nov. 3, 2011, and ending Aug. 20, 2014.

Governor Rick Scott today announced the appointment of Dr. Daniel J. Gesek to the Board of Dentistry.
Gesek, 44, of Jacksonville, is an oral and maxillofacial surgeon and partner of Imray and Gesek DMD PA. He succeeds Dr. Joseph Thad Morgan and is appointed for a term beginning Nov. 2, 2011, and ending Oct. 31, 2015. The appointment is subject to confirmation by the Florida Senate.

Governor Rick Scott announced the appointments of Ailton Lopez and Carey D. Goodman to the Monroe County Housing Authority.
Goodman, 36, of Cudjoe Key, is a mediator for the 16th Judicial Circuit. She succeeds Margaret M. Gil and is appointed for a term beginning Nov. 1, 2011, and ending Oct. 6, 2014.
Lopez, 55, of Key Largo, is a cook for the Holiday Isle Resort. He succeeds Marie Jean-Charles and is appointed for a term beginning Nov. 1, 2011, and ending Aug. 17, 2012.

Governor Rick Scott announced 13 appointments to the Commission on Jobs for Floridians with Disabilities.
Jack D. Felts, 50, of St. Johns, is a district manager for Publix Supermarkets Inc. He is appointed for a term beginning Oct. 31, 2011, and serving at the pleasure of the governor.
Michael Mike Hansen, 59, of Tallahassee, is the director of the Florida Agency for Persons with Disabilities. He is appointed for a term beginning Oct. 31, 2011, and serving at the pleasure of the governor.
Susanne F. Homant, 65, of Tallahassee, is the president and CEO of The Able Trust. She is appointed for a term beginning Oct. 31, 2011, and serving at the pleasure of the governor.
Suzanne S. Hutcheson, 64, of Palm City, is the president and CEO of Helping People Succeed Inc. She is appointed for a term beginning Oct. 31, 2011, and serving at the pleasure of the governor.
Jordan T. Knab, 52, of Madeira Beach, is the principal investigator and director of Project 10 Sting Ray at University of South Florida St. Petersburg. He is appointed for a term beginning Oct. 31, 2011, and serving at the pleasure of the governor.
Scot M. LaFerte, 46, of Windemere, is the vice president of human resources for Universal Orlando. He is appointed for a term beginning Oct. 31, 2011, and serving at the pleasure of the governor.
James Jim Landsberg, 37, of Tallahassee, is the equal opportunity officer at the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity. He is appointed for a term beginning Oct. 31, 2011, and serving at the pleasure of the governor.
Robert M. Lynn, 63, of Perry, is a volunteer advocate for persons with disabilities. He is appointed for a term beginning Oct. 31, 2011, and serving at the pleasure of the governor.
Christopher Mark McDuffie, 33, of Freeport, is a retired United States Air Force staff sergeant, small-business owner, and founder and CEO of the nonprofit organization Wounded Warrior Fishing. He is appointed for a term beginning Oct. 31, 2011, and serving at the pleasure of the governor.
Aleisa C. McKinlay, 59, of Tallahassee, is the incoming director of the Florida Division of Vocational Rehabilitation. She is appointed for a term beginning Oct. 31, 2011, and serving at the pleasure of the governor.
Julio F. Suarez, 38, of Orlando, is the director of diversity outreach for Darden Restaurants. He is appointed for a term beginning Oct. 31, 2011, and serving at the pleasure of the governor.
Marvin A. Tanck, 61, of Jupiter, is the president and CEO of Gulfstream Goodwill Industries Inc. He is appointed for a term beginning Oct. 31, 2011, and serving at the pleasure of the governor.
Dr. Steven R. Wallace, 59, of Jacksonville, is the president of Florida State College at Jacksonville. He is appointed for a term beginning Oct. 31, 2011, and serving at the pleasure of the governor.

Governor Rick Scott announced the appointment of Ned C. Lautenbach and the reappointments of Jay N. Trumbull and Manuel Manny Maro to the Florida Transportation Commission.
Lautenbach, 67, of Naples, is a retired partner with Clayton, Dubilier and Rice Inc. Previously, he worked for IBM for 30 years and was the senior vice president of sales and service. Lautenbach has been a member of the board of directors for Fidelity Investments since 2006, the board of directors for the Eaton Corp. since 1997 and the Council of Foreign Affairs since 1994. He has also been a member of the board of directors for the Naples Philharmonic Center for the Arts since 1999. Lautenbach received a bachelors degree from the University of Cincinnati and a Master of Business Administration from Harvard University. He succeeds Joseph M. Mazurkiewicz and is appointed for a term beginning Oct. 31, 2011, and ending Sept. 30, 2014.
Trumbull, 50, of Panama City, has been president and owner of Emerald Coast Culligan Water since 1985. He served on the Bay County Planning Commission from 2006 to 2008 and as a member of the Panama City Housing Authority from 2008 to 2010. Trumbull is a member of the board of directors of Bay Bank and Trust Co. Trumbull received his bachelors degree from Auburn University. He is reappointed for a term beginning Oct. 31, 2011, and ending Sept. 30, 2014.
Maro, 39, has been the mayor of the city of Sweetwater since 2003. He has been president of Southeast Towing since 2009 and was previously chief operating officer with Westbrook Motors Towing from 2002 to 2009. Maro is the second vice president of the Florida League of Cities and a past president of the Miami-Dade League of Cities. He is reappointed for a term beginning Oct. 31, 2011, and ending Sept. 30, 2014.
