Pam Stewart Will Attend Education Summit Events on First Coast

New Interim Education Commissioner Pam Stewart will hit the ground running. On Friday, a few hours after it was announced she would take the position, it was announced Stewart would attend education summits being held by Rep. Janet Adkins, R-Fernandina Beach, in Yulee and Jacksonville on Monday.

"We are excited to have Commissioner Stewart at our summit," said Adkins. "She has served as chancellor of public schools, deputy superintendent for academic services in the St. Johns County School District, a classroom teacher, an elementary and high school principal, and a guidance counselor in Florida. Attendees will benefit greatly from her wide array of knowledge and experience."
