Pam Bondi to Join Mike Huckabee in Hosting Presidential Forum

Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi will enjoy a bit of the national limelight on Saturday night as she co-hosts a forum for the Republican presidential candidates. The forum will be on Mike Huckabees show on Fox News at 8 p.m. and Bondi will be joined by two other state attorneys general -- Scott Pruitt of Virginia and Ken Cuccinelli of Virginia.

This forum is an excellent opportunity to engage each of the candidates in a candid conversation about issues that are important to voters in our state and across the nation, Bondi said in a statement released on Tuesday. This will be a historic election, and I am excited to play a part in helping voters gain a better understanding of candidates beliefs on fundamental issues such as constitutionalism and the role of government.

Attorney General Pam Bondi will make a great addition to the presidential forum this weekend, saidLenny Curry, chairman of the Republican Party of Florida. General Bondi has been a leader in the fight to overturn Obamacare, working tirelessly to protect our citizens from the mistakes of the Obama administration. I am confident she will ensure that the interests of Floridians, and voters nationwide, are addressed by the candidates.

Six of the Republican candidates -- Michele Bachmann, Newt Gingrich, Ron Paul, Rick Perry, Mitt Romney and Rick Santorum -- are scheduled to participate.
