Pam Bondi Jets Off to Israel While Obama Takes Heat From Jews

The timing of Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi's visit to Israel is, no doubt, a coincidence. But it is a convenient one.

A day after President Barack Obama angered Jewish voters with a call for a Palestinian state in the larger pre-1967 borders, Bondi joined other AGs for a trip to Israel.

A statement released by Bondi's office Friday morning said:

"The trip, which comes at no expense to Floridas taxpayers, is co-sponsored by the America-Israel Friendship League, the National Association of Attorneys General, and the State of Israels Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

"The intent of the trip is to facilitate a strong understanding of the Israeli government structure and historic relationship between the United States and Israel. While abroad, the attorneys general will meet with Israeli officials and discuss social, economic and political issues relating to Israel and surrounding countries. They will also tour the Israeli Supreme Court and meet with Attorney General Yehuda Weinstein to discuss common interests in legal proceedings."

Though it was not immediately clear how Florida taxpayers will benefit from Bondi's Israel jaunt, her all-expenses-paid junket puts her and her fellow travelers on the politically correct side of the Jewish vote and campaign contribution ledger.
