Pam Bondi Calls EPA Ruling 'Victory for Florida'

Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi had high praise for a Tuesday ruling fromU.S. District Judge Robert L. Hinkle that supported the U.S. Environmental Protection Agencys (EPA) motion to modify the consent decree regarding numeric nutrient criteria for Floridas waters.

This ruling is a victory for Florida, as we are better suited than the federal government to establish the rules and laws necessary to protect our unique waterways," said Bondi in a statement released Wednesday. "Floridas leaders should regulate our environment, and this ruling allows the Florida Department of Environmental Protection to determine numeric nutrient criteria and comprehensive standards for our waters.
