PAC Still Tries to Fundraise off Allen West for Senate in 2016

A PAC out of Colorado continues to send fundraising emails in support of former U.S. Rep. Allen West, R-Fla., even as he shows no interest in running for the U.S. Senate in 2016. 

On Tuesday, Restoring American Liberty sent out an email hitting U.S. Rep. Alan Grayson, D-Fla., who is running for the Senate in Florida and backing West. After losing his bid for a second term in Congress in 2012, West left Florida to take over a think tank in Dallas. 

While West mulled over the possibility of running for the Senate, eventually he closed the door on the possibility. Back in July, West told the Tampa Bay Times that Restoring American Liberty’s efforts were “disgusting and deplorable.”
