Ohio Congressman Bucking Boehner Has District Threatened

U.S. Rep. Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, who is leading the tea party revolt against House Speaker John Boehner's debt-ceiling plan, is having his district threatened for going against the party leader, according to the Columbus Dispatch.

Boehner, who also represents an Ohio district, is rallying Republicans to vote in favor of his plan to raise the debt ceiling by $900 billion, but cut $917 billion in the process. It has been attacked by tea party Congress members for raising the debt limit in the first place or not cutting enough. Ohio is currently going through its redistricting process, in which it must excise two of its congressional districts.

Florida has the opposite problem as the state Legislature holds redistricting hearings throughout the state -- it must add two congressional seats. Of Florida's 19 Republicans in Congress, Reps. Connie Mack, Dennis Ross and Steve Southerland have pledged to vote against Boehner's plan.
