Obama Touts Keystone Pipeline, While Continuing to Block It

Barack Obama's appearance at a southern spur of the Keystone pipeline was a surreal event Thursday.
Though the president continues to block the northern end of the pipeline, he claimed that his administration is working harder than ever to encourage oil production.
Obama's illusion trickles down to his Secretary of Energy Steven Chu. The former college professor, who famously testified that gas prices weren't high enough, gave himself "something higher than an 'A'" in regard to his handling of the issue.
Indeed, pump prices have more than doubled since Obama assumed office, so apparently Chu figures he's done his job.
