Obama Leads Among Hispanic Voters in Fox News Poll -- But Rubio as VP Would Help GOP
A poll from Fox News Latino found that President Barack Obama is doing very well with Hispanic voters but that U.S. Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., would help Republicans cut into the Democrat incumbents lead with those voters.
Obama gets the approval of 73 percent of Hispanic voters and none of the leading Republican candidates get more than 14 percent against him in a head to head matchup.
But close to one of three Hispanic voters say they would be open to backing the Republican ticket if there was a Hispanic vice presidential candidate on it -- and Rubio would boost the ticket in Florida with almost two-fifths of Hispanics in the Sunshine State saying they would be more prone to backing the GOP ticket if their junior senator was on it.
The Fox News Latino/Latin Insights poll of 1,200 likely Hispanic voters had a margin of error of +/- 2.7 percent. See here for more.
