Obama Has Slight Edge in EDT Pre-Election Day Voting

Early and absentee voting in the Eastern Daylight Time Zone went to President Obama, with a 51.54 percent (2,436,040) to 47.72 (2,255,308) percent total for Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney, per numbers just out from the state Division of Elections.
The western Panhandle counties in the Central Daylight Time Zone early and absentee ballot totals are expected to be posted at 8:30 p.m.
Libertarian candidate Gary Johnson received 20,854 votes, 0.44 percent.
Comedian Roseanne Barr, running under the Peace and Freedom Party banner, collected 4,028 votes, less than 0.1 percent.
