Obama Grants First Pardons to Humans

When President Obama pardoned two turkeys on Thanksgiving, he was just warming up.

According to news reports, the White House has announced that Obama has pardoned nine people -- the first of his presidency -- four of whom had cocaine convictions. The others had convictions for a felony liquor law violation, illegal possession of government property, conspiracy to defraud the U.S. by making false statements to the FDA, mutilation of coins and dealing in false securities.
