NRSC: Republicans Ask Charlie Crist for a Refund 'Before it's Too Late'

The National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) is taking aim at Gov. Charlie Crist, who flipped out of the GOP to run for U.S. Senate without party affiliation. The NRSC sent out an e-mail to supporters Thursday, letting Republicans know the governor -- a Republican until former House Speaker Marco Rubio caught up and passed him in polls for the GOP primary -- is open to giving back campaign money.

Quick, ask Charlie Crist for your money back before he changes his mind again, wrote Rob Jesmer, executive director of the NRSC. After months of refusing to return donations from hard-working voters who had supported his candidacy while he ran under the Republican banner, he has finally agreed to give back donations to those who have asked for it.

We are happy to take him up on this offer, continued Jesmer. We have already sent Crist two official letters requesting that he return all contributions from the NRSC and from the Republican Senate leadership. Now it is your turn. To help you request your donations to Charlie Crist back, we've set up CristRefund.com, where you can fill out your request, which will be e-mailed to the Charlie Crist campaign.

Jesmer closed with a parting shot at Crist. With his long history of self-serving flip-flops on virtually everything he says, it is only a matter of time before he changes his position again, he wrote. Ask for your money back now before it is too late.
