No Grand Jury Expected in Shooting of Trayvon Martin

There will be no grand jury called for the Feb. 26 shooting of Trayvon Martin in Sanford, the Miami Herald is reporting.

The grand jury -- called by the former prosecutor on the case, Seminole County State Attorney Norm Wolfinger -- was scheduled to meet on Tuesday.

However, the office of Duval County State Attorney Angela Corey, assigned to the case by Gov. Rick Scott and Attorney General Pam Bondi, has told the Miami Herald the grand jury will not be used to determine if charges are warranted against George Zimmerman.

Coreys office pointed out that the decision not to take the case to a grand jury should not be taken as an indication of which way shes going to decide, the Herald stated.
