NFIB Honors Ander Crenshaw

U.S. Rep. Ander Crenshaw, a Republican who represents the First Coast and parts of North Florida in Congress, was recognized on Thursday by the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB). The NFIB awarded Crenshaw --who served as Senate president before his stint in Congress --the name of Guardian of Small Business.

Small-business owners pay close attention to how their lawmakers vote on the issues affecting their businesses, said Dan Danner, the president and CEO of the NFIB. The Guardian award is a symbol of sincere appreciation from the small-business community for votes that supported their ability to own, operate, and grow their businesses.

Small businesses are the backbone of our economy, creating hundreds of thousands of jobs in Florida and across the nation, said Crenshaw. Now, more than ever, they deserve access to tools that will help them grow and prosper, not policy that makes it more difficult to accomplish that goal. Thats my commitment to them now and in the future, and Im honored to receive this recognition from the NFIB.
