NFIB Gives Strong Support to GOP in Legislative Contests
The National Federation of Independent Business/Florida has released a strictly Republican slate of state legislative endorsements for the November general election.
These candidates priorities align with those of the small-business community, and were confident they will be effective allies to our members in the fight to create jobs and improve the economy, NFIB/Florida Executive Director Bill Herrle stated in a release.
They are each committed to supporting small-business issues and working with NFIB to help Florida maintain its pro-small-business climate.
The endorsements come from the NFIB/Florida SAFE (Save Americas Free Enterprise) Trust, the political action committee for NFIB/Floridas membership, and are based on candidates positions regarding key small-business issues including health care, taxes, and labor and regulatory issues.
No endorsement was made in the House District 42 contest where Mike La Rosa was named this past weekend as the replacement for Rep. Mike Horner, R-Kissimmee. Horner withdrew after his name was linked to a client list at a Central Florida brothel.
An NFIB Florida spokeswoman said they have yet to interview La Rosa.
