Next on Media List: Vintage Newt Gingrich Sex Story Hits the Tabloids

It may not rise to the level of its scoop on the John Edwards sex scandal, but the National Enquirer is shopping another salacious story: Newt Gingrich had sex with a campaign staffer.

Proclaiming to be an "ex-mistress," Anne Manning told the Enquirer she performed a sex act on Gingrich in a Washington, D.C., hotel room while he was still married to his first wife in 1977.

"He always talks about being big on family values, but he doesnt practice what he preaches," Manning said.

"I wasnt planning to say a word about him, but voters need to know what sort of man theyre being asked to support," the businesswoman added.

The thrice-married Gingrich was not quoted in the story, but New York psychologist Judy Kuriansky said, "If Newt acted in the way Anne alleged, his behavior is consistent with sex addicts."

Tweaking Gingrich's changes of wives and religions, Mitt Romney is airing a new TV spot advertising that the former Massachusetts governor is married to the same woman for 43 years and has been a member of the same church his entire life.
