Newt Gingrich and Gary Johnson Save the Best for Last

Newt Gingrich had his best moment in the presidential debate. He compared the current situation to America under Jimmy Carter -- and reminded viewers that Ronald Reagan emerged and changed America around. Rick Santorum piggy-backed on the comment and praised Reagan.
Gary Johnson stole the moment, however, noting that his neighbors dogs had created more shovel-ready jobs than Barack Obama. It was a good line and drew laughter from the audience and from his rival candidates. While Johnson started off strong, he seemed to vanish as the debate went on. It was a nice answer -- and Johnson, easily the most obscure of the candidates on the stage, scored points.
