New TV Spot: 'There's Nothing Medical' About Amendment 2 Marijuana

The Vote No on 2 Campaign unveiled a new TV ad on Friday to criticize Amendment 2, which would expand medical marijuana use in the Sunshine State.

The ad features Dr. Madelyn Butler, past president of the Florida Medical Association, who attacks the amendment, insisting it has too many loopholes and does not require medical approval to distribute marijuana.

"This ad delivers an important warning that Floridians need to hear before they are confronted by Amendment 2 on the ballot this November, said Sarah Bascom, a spokeswoman for the Vote No on 2 Campaign. That once you wade through all of the trickery surrounding this amendment, you realize its simply pot for any purpose. And, coming straight from a highly-respected doctor, this is a warning that quite frankly cannot be ignored.

Amendment 2 needs 60 percent on the November ballot to be adopted.
