New Rankings: Carlos Curbelo Now Favorite Over Joe Garcia; Patrick Murphy Safe

Is the needle moving in South Florida for two Democratic congressmen?

Prominent political pundit Stuart Rothenberg and Roll Call have made Miami-Dade School Board member Carlos Curbelo a slight favorite over U.S. Rep. Joe Garcia, D-Fla. In Rothenberg Political Report/Roll Call rankings released on Wednesday, the race was moved from Pure Tossup to Tossup/Tilts Republican.

Even as Garcias odds are lowered, another Democrat from South Florida continues to become more of a favorite. The rankings also moved U.S. Rep. Patrick Murphys, D-Fla., odds up against former state Rep. Carl Domino. The race had been pegged as Favored Democratic but now its Safe Democrat.
