New Poll: Both AG Races Tight with Bondi, Gelber in Lead
As the primary contests enter their final hours, Mason-Dixon released a poll on Friday that showed Pam Bondi slightly ahead in the Republican battle for the attorney nomination while Sen. Dan Gelber, D-Miami Beach, was leading for the Democratic nod.
Bondi pulled 27 percent, Lt. Gov. Jeff Kottkamp carried 23 percent and former Agency for Health Care Administration Secretary Holly Benson placed third with 22 percent. A poll released by Sunshine State News earlier in the week had Kottkamp at 29 percent, Bondi with 22 percent and Benson with 19 percent.
With 32 percent, Gelber was ahead of Sen. Dave Aronberg, D-Greenacres, who had 25 percent. The Sunshine State News Poll released earlier in the week had Gelber with 38 percent and Aronberg with 27 percent.
The Mason-Dixon poll of 500 Republicans and 500 Democrats was taken between Aug. 17-19 and had a margin of error of +/- 4.5 percent.
