New College and UF Make Top 10 Best Value Public Colleges
The Princeton Review and USAToday teamed up to compile the rankings of the private and public colleges and universities that represent the best values in the nation and two schools from the Sunshine State placed in the top 10.
The New College of Florida ranked second among public colleges, placing only behind the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in the rankings. The University of Florida placed seventh in the rankings.
Four other universities in Florida were included in the top 75 best value public colleges and universities in the nation: Florida State University, the University of Central Florida, the University of North Florida and the University of South Florida.
"We salute these colleges for their outstanding academics and affordability either via their comparatively low sticker prices or generous financial aid awards to students with need, said Robert Franek of the Princeton Review.
