New Ad in Florida Slams Obama on National Debt
President Barack Obama is drawing fire from Crossroads Grassroots Policy Strategies (Crossroads GPS), an organization with ties to many prominent Republicans including Karl Rove. Crossroads GPS is running a new ad slamming Obama on the national debt in a $5.5 million ad campaign being launched in key battleground states, including Florida, on Tuesday. Crossroads GPS is spending $1.7 million to run the ad in the Sunshine State over the next two weeks.
While Europe is in the throes of debt-fueled economic crisis, President Obama keeps spending and charging more on the nations maxed-out credit cards, said Steve Law, the president of Crossroads GPS, in a statement on Tuesday. We want to encourage a serious debate on the national debt that transcends President Obamas class-warfare tax hikes.
