New Ad from 527 Group Attacks Rick Scott

The Florida First Initiative, a 527 organization with ties to supporters of Attorney General Bill McCollum, is out with another commercial blasting Rick Scott -- McCollums chief rival for the Republican gubernatorial nomination.

The commercial rips into Scott for his failure to deal with Medicaid fraud problems during his tenure in charge of HCA/Columbia.

As a former assistant U.S. attorney, Ive seen Rick Scotts type before, said A.G. (Alec) Alexander, III, who appears in the commercial. Companies he created, owned, invested in or controlled, systematically defrauded taxpayers. Rick Scott claims he didnt know. Well, the facts and the timelines say different. Rick Scotts story of not knowing his company was defrauding taxpayers, despite taking the profits, simply does not hold up in light of the evidence.
