National Debt $1 Trillion Higher Than Expected -- Who Knew?
Here's a shocker.
According to a report in the Washington Post, the Obama budgeteers will bequeath us a national debt $1 trillion higher than originally forecast over 10 years.
Now, here's what's funny: That there ever was a "forecast" in the first place.
Remember the legislative fight over Obamacare? Remember when the chief actuary of the Congressional Budget Office all but called his Democratic bosses liars in a report estimating the cost of the health-care reform -- a report based on unrealistic, or imaginary, or, to put it mildly, deceptive, conditions that everyone involved knew were impossible to meet?
Remember, further, that this was the brainchild of a president who pledged to "bend the arc" of health-care costs in this country?
If you remember all that, and more of the steady stream of disinformation, misinformation and outright lies that come our way every day from our president and his cronies, you won't be surprised at all by the latest "forecast."
Just don't forget it between now and November.
