Nan Rich Raises $55,000 in 3Q But Spends Almost as Much
Former state Senate Democratic Leader Nan Rich is treading water in terms of fundraising as she continues her gubernatorial bid.
In the third quarter of 2013, Rich raised more than $55,000, easily her best fundraising period since entering the race in April 2012. But Rich banked very little of that cash since she spent almost $51,800 during that same period, barely breaking even. At least she put the brakes on her spending, which topped $75,000 during the second quarter. One interesting side note: Rich relied on more than $31,800 through in-kind donations in the second quarter; in the third quarter, Rich used only $3,672 through in-kind donations.
So far in the campaign Rich has raised less than $216,000, used less than $38,500 through in-kind donations and spent almost $153,000.
