Mitt Romney Taking Up the Causes of Sandy Adams and Allen West

Former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney, who ran for the Republican presidential nomination in 2008 and is considered one of the front-runners for the nod in 2012, unveiled three different waves of his 10 for 10 initiative, backing Republican congressional candidates. Of the 30 candidates he is encouraging supporters to back, Romney named two Florida Republicans -- Rep. Sandy Adams of Oviedo who is taking on Democratic U.S. Rep. Suzanne Kosmas and Allen West who is taking on Democratic U.S. Rep. Rod Klein. Romney is encouraging his backers on the web -- more than 600,000 friends on Facebook -- to help these candidates.

It is crucial that we elect candidates who will stand up to the Washington culture of higher spending, higher taxes and higher debt, said Romney. It is my hope that this new initiative will serve as a resource for people to learn more about critical races around the country, and give them an ability to make a real difference that just might put our candidates over the top.We can take back control of Congress, but only if we work together.
