Mitt Romney Shouldn't Expect Jim DeMint's Endorsement This Time
Seems Mitt Romney doesn't like spending any more time below the Mason-Dixon Line than he has to -- unless, of course, there's money to be raised.
The Washington Post reported Wednesday that the GOP presidential hopeful will skip a Labor Day candidate forum in South Carolina hosted by Sen. Jim DeMint, R-S.C.
Romney, a former Massachusetts governor, said he wants to spend more time campaigning in New Hampshire.
DeMint, a tea party proponent who endorsed Romney in 2008, may not do so again in 2012. The Palmetto Freedom Forum will go on with Texas Gov. Rick Perry, Minnesota Rep. Michele Bachmann, Texas Rep. Ron Paul and former Godfathers Pizza CEO Herman Cain.
Romney said previously he will not participate in Florida's Presidency 5 straw poll Sept. 24 in Orlando.
