Mitt Romney Has Winning Creds, Florida Gov. Rick Scott Tells Candy Crowley of CNN
Asked Sunday morning which GOP candidate he backs for the presidential nomination, Florida Gov. Rick Scott -- though inspecific -- said Mitt Romney has the winning credentials.
"We need jobs," Scott told Candy Crowley during an interview on CNN's State of the Union, "that's the message that every candidate in the campaign should be shouting out every day. They're not, but that's what people want to hear, and Romney does have real business experience.
"Job-creating business experience," the governor reiterated.
He told Crowley he believes the candidate who best espouses policies that don't raise the cost of living will take Florida. "That's what we've done in Florida, and we've created 141,000 more jobs than we had last year and brought our unemployment numbers from 12 percent to 9.9 percent."
Asked about the candidates' effect on the Latino community, Scott said, "This is a community that cares about family values, they see what a successful family Romney has, they like his background and they want a life like his."
The interview, on Crowley's set at CNN, took approximately 6 minutes.
