Mitt Romney Beats Newt Gingrich and Ron Paul to Lead in N.H.

A poll of likely Republican primary voters unveiled by American Research Group on Monday found that former Gov. Mitt Romney of Massachusetts continued to lead in New Hampshire, home of the first presidential primary.

Romney tops the field with 33 percent followed by former U.S. House Speaker Newt Gingrich in second with 22 percent. U.S. Rep. Ron Paul of Texas takes third with 12 percent. Businessman Herman Cain garners 9 percent followed by former Gov. Jon Huntsman of Utah with 8 percent. Texas Gov. Rick Perry and U.S. Rep. Michele Bachmann of Minnesota are knotted together with 2 percent each followed by three candidates -- former Gov. Gary Johnson of New Mexico, former Gov. Buddy Roemer of Louisiana and former U.S. Sen. Rick Santorum of Pennsylvania -- with 1 percent each.

The poll of 600 likely New Hampshire Republican primary voters was taken from Nov. 16-20 and had a margin of error of +/- 4 percent.
