Mike Huckabee: 'Jihad is in America and it's Real'
Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee, who ran for the Republican presidential nomination in 2008 and may do so again in 2012, weighed in on the war on terror on Monday, insisting that it must continue -- and that the United States is increasingly becoming the frontline.
Jihad is in America and it's real, noted Huckabee. The scary truth is, radical Islamists are coming after us, and they want us dead. But for some reason, the Obama administration refuses to acknowledge recent acts of terrorism for what they are -- terrorism. It's like the administration and many in the country are so afraid of offending the terrorists, who are hell-bent on wiping us out, that now we are playing by the terrorists' rules.
Radical Islamic terrorists call us infidels, added Huckabee. They want to kill every one of us who do not believe in their radical view of Islam. I'm not talking about the Muslim religion -- but I am talking about terrorists who consider it an honor to blow themselves up as long as they are killing us.
Huckabee then noted the recent arrest in Texas of a man accused of looking to build weapons of mass destruction in the Lone Star State.
Last week, a 20-year-old Saudi man, Khalid Ali-M al-Dawsari, was arrested in Texas with the intention of using weapons of mass destruction to attack America's hydroelectric dams, nuclear power plants and the Dallas home of former President George W. Bush, continued Huckabee. al-Dawsari, is a self-admitted Osama bin Laden fan that bought chemicals to make bombs and posted on a blog he vowed to destroy through jihad and martyrdom. Jihad is in America and it's real.
